Top tips
- The question is worth 2 marks so you will need to give more than just a definition of what organic cotton is
- Try to be specific with the examples you give e.g. avoid vague words like ‘chemicals’ and use words like ‘pesticides’, ‘fertiliser’ along with words like ‘toxic’
- Read the question carefully - the organic label only refers to the production of the fibre and to to the production of the product. If the question refers to a product this therefore doesn’t necessarily mean it is sustainable as it depends on how the product is made.
