The list below outlines key properties of the materials:

  • Reflective tape - high visibility as reflects in car or street lights. This makes you easier to see especially at night. 
  • Fluorescent nylon - high visibility in low light conditions and poor weather. Nylon is strong, dries quickly and doesn’t require ironing 
  • Polyester / cotton non iron fabric - easy to care for as fabric doesn’t crease, durable, strong
  • Stain resistant with heat set creases - resists stains so easy to keep clean & needs washing less, heat set creases


Note:

The question requires you to relate the above points to a police uniform so just listing the above points on their own may not get you full marks. Write extended sentences that clearly explain why these properties are useful in a police uniform.

Be careful not to repeat any points you make. Some of the materials have similar properties, e.g. nylon and polyester cotton non iron fabric, so you might refer to these together as one point. 

Make sure you mention each of the fabric types that are listed in the question
