Star, Red, Christmas, Decoration, XmasTop tips

  • The first sentence gives you information that ‘sets the scene’ and gives you a context. Remember this is not the actual question itself, just the background.
  • The question is worth 7 marks so you will need to give a detailed answer that includes explanation and examples. This question is challenging as you will need to make a lot of points because of the number of marks and you will have to apply your knowledge to a product.
  • Treat this question as a mini essay and do an essay plan before you start to help you organise your thoughts. Use the keywords to help you structure your question so you answer all of the points.
  • Don’t forget the question must be answered in the context of the t.shirt mentioned in the question. You must also not lose sight of the fact it is about manufacturing.
  • Read the question carefully. The term ‘market demand’ in this context is referring to the numbers of the t.shirt that are manufactured due to the numbers being sold. In this question it does not refer what the customer likes in a t.shirt.

  • Other products might be used as the example product so swop the t.shirt in this question for a range of other products. How does this change the focus of the question and answer?
